About St. Cecilia Catholic Church
Our History
St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, has a rich history in Coconut Grove dating back to 1956 when it was built by Mr. Tom Dean. The resident pastor was Fr. Arthur Chapman. He acted as both architect and supervisor during the church construction.

Fr. Chapman was the first parish community pastor, and served the St.Cecilia Community until 1971 when he left the Bahamas.

Through the years, we have remained committed to our mission of spreading the love and teachings of Jesus Christ to our community and beyond. Our approach is rooted in the traditions of the Catholic Church, while also embracing the modern world and the challenges we face today.
Keeping the Faith
At St. Cecilia Catholic Church, we believe in the power of faith to guide us through life's ups and downs. Our community is a place where people can come together to pray, worship, and support one another. Whether you are a lifelong Catholic or new to the faith, we welcome you to join us in our journey of faith.
